Yes, it's always a trade-off. You earn stiffness, but lose comfort and increase weight, and vice versa. Personally, I would rather lose comfort and be faster, as I'm a tough guy. I'm a triathlete, and speed is always my first priority.
For most riders, they don't compete in cycling race, and I always recommend them to put comfort first. They should choose a bike based on their regular routes. For example, you have excellent road condition and no much climbing, Leopard is perfect.
